West Hills Community College to launch a new Food Safety/Quality Assurance Technician Apprenticeship Program in 2020. Several employees from CLFP-member companies have enrolled in the program.

The Program is funded by the California Apprenticeship Initiative a California Community College Chancellor’s, Office Grant and the USDA Grant a USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture Workforce Development Grant. QA Technicians will earn:
- A California Apprenticeship Journey-person Credential
- A Certificate of Achievement from West Hills College Coalinga
- 17 units of college credit toward a degree.
